Discovery Session - Community Impact (Not-for-Profit)
Today there is a growing trend for not-for-profit organizations to enter the world of business as a means to obtain greater self-sufficiency. Referred to as a Social Enterprise, these revenue-generating businesses pursue primarily social objectives using a business model as the vehicle. Revenue surpluses are reinvested in the business to further their cause or to deliver social benefit to the community. Maintaining the delicate balance between economic goals and social values can be a challenge in this fast-paced, competitive economy. To develop vibrant communities we must decide what we must do, have or create for our communities to thrive.
