Do this Instead of a New Years Resolution...

12/30/2015

I woke up this morning to read Facebook posts about the 4.3 earthquake that shook the lower mainland and southern Vancouver Island last night. The epicentre was in Sidney, near the home of my family members. Our previous neighbourhood in Chilliwack even shook.
Some of my friends were startled to realize they hadn't paid attention as to what to do or how to prepare. Some are heads of families with children or grandchildren counting on their emotional support and stability if a real disaster were to strike.
Instead of setting a New Years Resolution (aka a good intention that lasts 7-21 days) why not get an Emergency Kit started for your home and/or business? This is one small action that could make a HUGE difference for you and your loved ones.
The first 72 hours are the most critical. I've included a downloadable checklist from Public Safety Canada to help you get an Emergency Kit started today.
