The Discovery Process Mini-Course is your chance to get quiet and finally acknowledge your truest voice. Through this heart and mind-opening facilitation, you'll reclaim everything you need to realign your life and career to what is most authentically you. Through bite-sized steps that engage your team in a co-creation process, you’ll awaken a process-oriented company with heart and collaboration. With internal structures that enable your team to execute ideas quickly and effectively, your big, meaningful ideas are made actionable.

What is systems-thinking? 

Systems-thinking is an integrated approach to problem-solving. It provides a strategic lens through which all system processes, departments, and components are interrelated. Seeing connections across dimensions allows people to anticipate outcomes and avoid friction. From here, anything is possible: achieving big wins, accomplishing meaningful work, and aligning entire teams. 

Why are these programs called The Work? 

Think about your life’s most significant accomplishments. Chances are, you worked hard for those. You’ve overcome challenges and learned from your experiences to get to where you are today. The Work with DCE is no different. To transform the way you interface with others and go after your dreams, you will have to dig in and work. You won’t find it in a quick fix or an instant makeover here. The Work is designed to leave you feeling exhilarated, transformed, and damn proud of your effort to build a better world around you.

When can I expect to see results from The Work? 

We’ve had entire teams transform into dynamically healthier and proactive cultures within three months of engaging DCE. And we’ve seen others let growth opportunities pass them by. The only difference is the commitment to systems-thinking in practice. At DCE, our position is to equip you with the tools for change. You’re in the driver’s seat to decide how soon the results of The Work take shape. 

How much time do I need to invest to benefit from systems-thinking? 

We’re as focused as you are in spending time where it matters most. At DCE, we believe systems-thinking is a mindset shift worth your attention. Forming new habits takes practice: 59-70 days, to be exact. That’s why we offer a range of programs to introduce and implement systems-thinking. A shift of mind can happen instantly, but on average, you’ll need those extra days. 

For business applications of systems-thinking, expect change to move at a pace accommodating setbacks. There are more moving parts and variables to consider in an organizational setting. Setbacks are temporary and often necessary; you want to move into a new future with your entire team onboard. 

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect in time investment to benefit from systems-thinking. 

Individuals

• 6-12 week Discover Process courses
• Shorter intensive offering for goal-specific action planning

Businesses 

• 3-12 months for Action Research, based on the scope of work, number of stakeholders, and size of the delivery team
• 6-12 months for building internal structures and processes to enhance performance

1. Complete the Readiness Quiz to come into your first session with self-awareness for where you are in the process of committing to transformation. 
2. Read or listen to SCRUM: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time by Jeff Sutherland. Get excited to take a daring, significant mindset shift with your team.

Is there any additional investment outside of the programming costs?

DCE requires no additional investments outside of programming costs. 

However, there is a correlation between clients making additional investments in professional development, such as in software and technical training, and higher growth measures. 

Continual improvement is a natural outcome of a growth mindset. 

How is the systems-thinking approach different from everything else out there? 

The outcomes of our teachings are regenerative and sustainable. As a holistic solution to the challenges of entrepreneurship, participants across all aptitudes can problem-solve effectively and take action on clearly-defined goals. There are no prerequisites for becoming a powerful driver of the systems-thinking mindset: we believe greatness is ready to be awakened in all of us.
